The April–June 2010 issue of A World of Science, UNESCO’s natural sciences quarterly newsletter, is available. This issue contains background information on the floods in Pakistan. UNESCO’s work here has been triggered by a coordinated action of the Pakistani Permanent Delegation to UNESCO, together with the Secretariat of the Netherlands IHP Committee, in close coordination with Dr Gretchen Kalonji, UNESCO’s Assistant Director-General for Natural Sciences. The webpage on mapping of Pakistan’s floods proved helpful to many people.
